On 23 April 2026, it was that time of year again. The Battermann + Tillery Group welcomed six inquisitive students, aged between 11 and 13, for Career Day. We were delighted by the keen interest shown in our company!

After a warm welcome, the day began with an introduction to our daily office tasks and routines. We then headed to the Bremen logistics hub, where the kids had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. The first stop was Ipsen Industrial Packing GmbH & Co. KG. There, the plant manager and their team showed the students how the vehicle fleet, logistics and loading processes, packaging facility and shipping crates work. A particular highlight for the kids was the opportunity to check out a forklift, including sitting in it!

The next stop was the DACHSER SE branch in Bremen. There, the Commercial Director and the Administration Manager for Food Services had organised a varied programme for the group. They toured the logistics centre, climbed into a truck and cooled off in the warehouse and reefer trailer. They also learned more about logistics processes. It was an exciting opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and find out how goods actually get from the producer to the supermarket. This and many other questions were answered during the tour.

To conclude the day, a group lunch of pizza, burgers and pasta was enjoyed by all, and six happy kids went home with a wealth of new experiences.
